The Cal State Bakersfield women’s volleyball team moved into sole possession of first place in the Western Athletic Conference standings with a three-set sweep of Chicago State on Saturday.

The Roadrunners won 25-15, 25-21, 25-13 on their home floor, moving a half-game ahead of second place New Mexico State and UT Rio Grande Valley. CSUB is now 14-10 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

Junior Mattison DeGarmo and redshirt senior Haylee Roberts led the Roadrunners with nine kills apiece. Senior Aleksandra Djordjevic had six kills, three aces and seven digs.

CSUB will be on the road this week with matches at Utah Valley and Seattle.
