No. 22-ranked Cal State Bakersfield split two matches in the opening day of the Roadrunner Invitational Saturday, losing 16-8 to No. 6 Arizona and beating Cal State East Bay 9-5.

Ashley Paz and Nicola Barrett had three goals apiece against Arizona with Cassandra Ream and Katie Benson also scoring.

Paz added two more goals against East Bay and Barrett scored once. Kristen Jensen added three goals against East Bay and goalkeeper Courtney Wahlstrom had 15 saves.

CSUB is 12-11 overall and hosts Princeton today to conclude the tournament.
