The Roadrunners defense held its opponents to no goals for their first 207 minutes of play over the weekend. Utah Valley scored on CSUB in the 98th minute of the second game for a 1-0 win and the Roadrunners finished the weekend 0-1-1. CSUB tied Texas-Rio Grande Valley on Friday after two scoreless overtimes and its offense has scored just one goal in its last three games.

Wrestling holds Blue-Gold Scrimmage

The wrestling team moved one step closer to starting its season with the completion of the Blue-Gold Scrimmage on Saturday. The blue team beat the gold team, 19-17, and heavyweight match went to four overtimes with redshirt freshman Jarrod Snyder getting a riding time tiebreaker to top redshirt sophomore Dominic Balmer.

CSUB’s roster features defending Pac 12 champion Sean Nickell. The Roadrunners will open the season on the road at Buffalo on Nov. 2.
