The Cal State Bakersfield men’s basketball team fell big on the road Wednesday night at Delaware, losing to the Blue Hens 76-62.
Delaware led 38-27 at halftime and eventually took a 61-40 lead with 7:41 remaining in the game.
The Roadrunners shot 40 percent from the field in the contest and were outrebounded 39-24 (Delaware grabbed 12 offensive rebounds on the evening). The Blue Hens also scored 22 points from the free-throw line (CSUB, by comparison, shot 15-of-18 from the charity stripe).
Jarkel Joiner was the only Roadrunner in double figures, with 23 points. Brent Wrapp had six points and seven assists, but also had four fouls. Moataz Aly joined Wrapp with four fouls of his own, while Justin Davis and Fallou Ndoye each fouled out.
Cal State Bakersfield is now 7-7 on the season while Delaware improved to 6-6.
The Roadrunners take the court again Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Arkansas.
