The Bakersfield Condors announced the signing of three forwards — Chad Butcher, Evan Polei and Dave Gust — to American Hockey League contracts on Tuesday.

Polei, 21, made his professional debut with the Condors late this season on an Amateur Try-Out deal. A left wing, Polei (6-foot-1, 230 pounds) led the Red Deer Rebels (Western Hockey League) in goals last season, was tied in points (69) and led the team in penalty minutes (104).

Butcher (5-10, 172) led the Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL) in scoring each of the past two seasons. The 21-year old right wing was fourth in WHL scoring this season with 103 points (27 goals,76 assists) in 68 games.

Gust, 23, joins the Condors after four years with Ohio State. The 5-10, 176-pound right wing was tied for second in scoring for the Buckeyes last season with 41 points (18 goals, 23 assists) in 39 games.
