After a month in Canada, the Condors coaching staff has migrated south to Bakersfield and around 20 players will be on the ice this morning as the Condors opening training camp.
There will be numerous new faces this season but a handful of familiar ones, including veteran winger Ryan Hamilton who has served as team captain the past two years, and Joey LaLeggia, who wound up with 20 goals last season after converting from defense to forward.
The Edmonton Oilers assigned defensemen Caleb Jones and Ryan Mantha, center Grayson Downing as well as LaLeggia to the Condors on Sunday.
Also, winger Mitch Callahan, defenseman Keegan Lowe and goaltender Eddie Pasquale were placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Bakersfield.
Practices at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center will run from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Monday through Wednesday and the public is invited.
