Much as it has in football, Fresno-Central has stated itself as the unanimous early-season favorite in the Central Section volleyball scene.

As the Grizzlies football team dismantled then-No. 2 Liberty 30-3 on Friday to move to 3-0, the Central volleyball team went undefeated at a tournament in San Luis Obispo this past weekend. The Grizzlies are 18-0 and remain in the top spot in this week's BVarsity Central Section Volleyball Top 15.

The Grizzlies are in town Tuesday on a big night of volleyball action in Kern County.

Central plays at No. 11 Frontier, No. 15 Visalia-Central Valley Christian is at No. 5 Centennial, No. 2 Clovis-Buchanan at No. 7 Stockdale and No. 4 Clovis West at unranked Bakersfield.

All in one night.
