The Cal State Bakersfield men's basketball team will take the court as a No. 7 seed in next week’s WAC Tournament.

The Roadrunners will take the court against No. 2 Utah Valley on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Utah Valley swept the season series between the two teams, winning on its home floor (75-42 final score) and in Bakersfield (70-47).

The Roadrunners (12-17, 5-9) fell into the seven seed following its 81-68 loss at Grand Canyon on Saturday night.

The team got 21 points from Rickey Holden. Justin Davis finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Damiyne Durham (13 points) and Moataz Aly (12) rounded out the double-figure scorers for CSUB.

Grand Canyon (20-10, 9-5), which will be the WAC’s No. 3 seed, was led by Alessandro Lever’s 23 points and eight rebounds. Keonta Vernon finished with eight points, nine rebounds and five assits.

New Mexico State is the conference’s top seed entering next week’s WAC Tournament.
