The two-day Man-Son Sports Summer Breeze Varsity Basketball Tournament will be back in action on Friday and Saturday at RiverLakes Ranch Community Center for the 22nd installment of the annual event.

Twelve local high school teams — Ridgeview, Arvin, Shafter, West, North, McFarland, Cesar Chavez, South, Stockdale, Delano, Bakersfield and Tehachapi — will battle it out in the tournament, which culminates with the championship game at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission is $5. The games start off with Ridgeview against Arvin at 4 p.m. on Friday. Games start at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

BHS beat Ridgeview for the tournament championship last year, just days after the death of junior varsity boys basketball coach Chris Avis.
