Bakersfield College women’s basketball (8-13, 2-2 Western State-South) dropped its second conference game in a row, falling to College of the Canyons (12-10, 3-0), 75-57, on Saturday. BC led 15-8 at the end of the first quarter but was outscored by 13 in the next 10 minutes and couldn’t get back in the game.

Octavia Croney led the Renegades with 23 points. She was 10-for-10 from the free throw line. Canyon’s Kalana Inemer matched Croney’s 23 and pulled in 19 rebounds.

The Renegades shot just 28.4 percent in the game. Canyons made 37.9 percent of its shots.
