Bakersfield College improved to 3-1 in the Western State Conference South Division with a 9-7 win over Los Angeles Pierce Tuesday night at Gerry Collis Field.

BC (7-13 overall) was led by Patrick Reynier, who went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs. Brock Hallum went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.

Winning pitcher Austin Toerner improved to 2-3. He allowed five hits, walked two and struck out five in seven inning. He allowed seven runs but six BC errors led to five unearned runs. Walker Frayne worked the final two innings for his first save.
