Bakersfield College baseball (1-1) got its first win of the year, beating College of the Sequoias, 4-2, at home on Saturday night in the Bakersfield College Tournament.

The game was tied 2-2 until BC outfielder Ashanti Ross hit a two-out line drive single to right field, scoring two runs. Renegades reliever Joey Salinas was the winning pitcher, throwing 2 2/3 innings and only allowing one baserunner.
