The 101st Kern County Fair promises to be your "Ticket to Fun."

This year's fair runs Sept. 20 to Oct. 1. It's your annual chance to listen to great music, take in the exhibit halls, dine on yummy food, watch rodeos, see shows, check out the livestock, ride the carnival rides — and so much more.

Sponsored by the 15th District Agricultural Association, the fair has been a great tradition from 1916 to 2017.

Coming up:

• Check back at for more stories and information leading up to the fair.

• Be sure to pick up a copy of the Sept. 16 edition of The Californian, where we'll present the 2017 guide to the fair.
