California State University Impact Study facts:

* For every $1 the state invests in the CSU, $4.41 is generated.

* CSU expenditures create $13.6 billion a year in economic activity and support 207,000 jobs annually.

* If the enhanced earnings of CSU's 1.7 million alumni living in the state are factored in, the annual spending impact rises from $4.41 to $17 for every $1 the state invests.

* The combined total of CSU is 527,000 jobs, $53 billion economic impact and $3.11 billion in tax revenue.

* CSU students provide nearly 30 million hours of community service annually.

* CSU confers half of the bachelor's degrees and a third of the master's degrees in the state.

* 3.1 million visitors per year visit CSU campuses for university-related events such as concerts and athletic games.
