Hunt photo disgusts

The article and photo of the woman who killed the magnificent elk in the Oct. 9 issue of The Californian is the most disgusting thing I have read since the bear story. ("Bakersfield woman hunts huge elk on Tejon Ranch.")

How anyone could say, "To me, part of the thrill was hearing the bullet hit and watching the animal go down," is beyond belief. Incidentally, with a muzzle velocity of at least 2,700 feet per second, it would have been impossible to hear the impact when only 420 feet away.
