School unnecessary

A charter school focused on closing the achievement gap among black and Hispanic students? ("School aims to aid minorities," Oct. 12.)

How about attending class, doing the homework and learning the English language before starting school in our regular schools? I can only imagine what would happen if someone started a charter school for underachieving white kids.

There is something terribly wrong here and I do not think fair minded people will take kindly to this idea.
