Where is President Obama's passport?

I am a natural-born citizen of the United States. I had no problem joining the Navy, getting a Social Security card, qualifying for the GI Bill. In fact, I had no citizenship problems at all -- until I had to get a passport. I needed a birth certificate, or other proof of citizenship, and I did not have either; I was delivered at home and the doctor didn't register my birth. Consequently, I had no proof I was born in the U.S., or a naturalized citizen, and the passport agency required proof.

Fortunately my mother, who obviously was present at my birth, and my uncle, who also was, could attest as to the fact that I was born in the U.S., and thus the state of Illinois issued me a "delayed birth certificate" (I was 38 at the time).

I wonder what Obama's problem is; I also wonder if he has, or had, a passport prior to now. I know he lived with his father in Indonesia, but that doesn't necessarily mean he had a U.S. passport.

Anyway, it's a thought. I guess I might a suspicious old fool who should shut up, but I think it is worth asking the question; especially the way Obama is trending now. A check with the passport office might verify the fact one way or another, but that might be an "invasion of privacy."

Ah well, what's the Constitution except a piece of paper written by a bunch of stupid rebels?
