I am deeply concerned about our nation. Our government, both state and federal, has come to the point that they are unable to govern. They are so far to the right and left that there is no middle ground.
Until there are open primaries in every state, there is no way for it to change.
Even our news media is no help. They are split on party lines and put their spin on any issue. I see no bright spot in our future.

BRIK McDILL: Our damaging role models: Examples of rich and famous
When you reach an age at which two generations of retrospect is possible, certain things can be seen more clearly and no longer through a glass darkly. One of those things are the examples set by our role models and the standards they shape, and, by their example, teach. Sports and entertainment are the two areas where their teaching touches the hearts and souls of our children most deeply. And therein lies a risk.
