We should boo Costa

Here's a reminder about why Jim Costa was booed by the crowd in Huron on Sean Hannity's "The Valley Hope Forgot" special program back in September.

The short story is Congressman Devin Nunes organized a Fresno County effort and sponsored a bill that would turn pumps back on in the Sacramento River, pumps previously turned off by a court ruling in favor of environmental extremists.

This lack of water for Fresno County caused many acres to go unplanted this season, causing a dust bowl environment, and unemployment for many farm workers.

Nunes partnered with celebrity comedian Paul Rodriguez and others including radio personality Ray Appleton to go to Washington, D.C., the day the House committee was to vote on Nunes' bill. They were going to use Paul's star power to focus attention on this cause.

But the day before, the Nancy Pelosi Democrat machine told Congressman Costa to not allow Paul to come to D.C., ensuring the bill would fail in committee. So Costa called Paul and was successful in killing the trip. You can only imagine what Costa must have said.

The bill failed to pass. Appleton was mad as hell and called him out while on the air. The bottom line is Costa got caught doing Pelosi's dirty work. They are politically indebted to the environmental lobby.

The good people in Huron knew that. The pumps are still not running. To that I also say "Boo," and so should everyone in the Central Valley.
