Swine flu scourge is Obama's fault

Who is Barack Obama now going to blame for the recent shortage of H1N1 vaccines --George W. Bush, whom he has blamed all of his other troubles on?

It is painfully obvious Obama dropped the ball. Again!

Bush warned us 18 months ago about the H1N1 flu and took steps to ensure we would have enough vaccines for those that most need it. It is no surprise that much of America needs the vaccination. It was no secret that the flu season was approaching. But, now that it is upon us, we find ourselves painfully short.

One year ago, the Centers for Disease Control and other government officials told us that we would have hundreds of millions of vaccinations available. Then, over the summer, the prediction was that 40 million would be on hand by the end of October.

Last month, the government scaled back the estimate to 28 million vaccines. And, as of late last week, only 11.5 million had been delivered, leaving tens of millions vulnerable and, tragically, likely leading to hundreds of preventable deaths.

It sounds like a fairly simple job to produce and distribute the H1N1 flu vaccine -- as we do with regular flu shots each and every year. But it was apparently beyond the capacity of the Obama Administration.

How can Obama promise that the government will do an adequate job of managing the nation[s health care system if can't produce enough vaccines in a timely manner to help us now?
