Ambulance issues

This is in response to James Burger's blog post, "Ambulance rates."

So in other words, Hall Ambulance and other providers are requesting an increase in the amount they charge their customers to compensate for the increase and pay to the EMS department. Let's do some more of the rob Peter to pay Paul county standard operating procedure.

I have an idea: Why not put out to statewide bid the ambulance services in Kern County, just like they do with any other purchases, instead of the conflict of interest with the Mayor and his little groups?

Never mind -- I am sure the county is exempt from that policy, too.
