Christianity and U.S. history

Most of our Founding Fathers are documented as having been Christians. But, as you will discover by researching true history, many governing leaders that followed and made that claim were liars and hypocrites. No one could have caused the mass suffering and oppression they were responsible for and be followers of Jesus Christ.

I urge you to read "The People's History of the United States from 1492 to Present" by Howard Zinn. You will realize that the history you've been taught is a fairy tale compared to the true history.

Beginning in the 1930s, the "revisionists" made an asserted effort and purposely rewrote our history books.

It unnerves me to know that this lying and hypocrisy is still prevalent amongst our governing leaders today. They, as many of our early leaders, have tainted Christianity and turned multitudes away from God as a result of their self-centered, self-serving actions and treatment of the people they were elected to serve.

It breaks my heart to see so many lost people, as I once was, turned away from the reality of salvation through Jesus because many of our governing leaders, spiritual leaders and people of great influence -- the very people who are supposed to be setting the morale and ethical standards for this nation's citizens -- are the perpetrators of evil disguised as Christians.
