Selective memories

Recent columns by Valerie Schultz and syndicated columnist Paul Krugman, critical of those who dare speak out against our "glorious" president, have made me want to throw up.

Certainly those on the right have crossed the line at times. Liberal critics, however, often fail to recall (or choose to forget) President Bush being called just about every hateful and disrespectful name in the book during the course of his presidency. (It seems like I remember him being compared to Hitler on more than one occasion.) Ah, selective memory is wonderful when it enhances your own ideology.

Criticism seems to be the name of the game in politics, but before we're so quick to cast stones, we need to remember how it was when the last guy (not our guy) was in power.
