State of the unions

Your June 14 editorial, "Voters knew what they were doing," was good. I agree with the premise.

The SEIU is no different from any other union; the bottom line is continuing and augmenting the revenue stream produced by per capita taxes. To this end, they will do what the AFL and CIO did for years -- devote millions to keeping the membership militant and increasing. The results lie in shreds in the auto industry, among others.

I hope your words are taken to heart; we need to pay for the services to which we think we are entitled.
