I, more than likely, owe my life to complete strangers and I was not able to personally thank them!

On Dec. 10, 2007, I was at an intersection within two blocks of my residence. When the light changed and I started into the intersection, out of nowhere came a 90-mile-per-hour, drunk, street racing missile. At least that is what I am told since I literally have no recollection of the actual accident. I sustained major, life threatening injuries.
This letter is not a campaign against drinking and driving or street racing, although those actions should be addressed. This letter is to publicly thank the young men from Chuy's and the young men in the adjacent car who so readily came to my rescue -- someone they were not even acquainted with.
They saw a wrongdoing, and at great peril to themselves, acted on it. Their unselfish, spontaneous actions have truly reinforced my belief in the basic goodness of human nature and of the good citizens in our community and are genuinely appreciated more than words can say!
