Regarding Stephen Moore's apparent efforts to sell the recent Republican tax cuts by way of the piece, "Trump tax cut an ode to the Laffer Curve," I think Mr. Moore has forgotten some of the more painful lessons of the Reagan era. As I remember it, when Reagan took office our national debt was $144 billion and when he left it was $1.86 trillion. I also remember the failure of the Savings and Loan institutions that cost U.S. taxpayers billions.
Stephen Moore could still be right though. Maybe the American economy is in for one helluva ride in 2018 and beyond, but it might not be one with lasting pleasant memories
