There is a well known English proverb that goes: measure twice, cut once. That of course is in reference to not making mistakes. Our representatives are ignoring that advice. The current focus is an all out effort to ram a tax cut bill through Congress to signing by the president despite serious flaws. Some representatives have not read all that is being proposed, and others have not even been given the entire tax cut bill to read. All this is in the name of a political party “win.” I do not think representing the people of this country is a game to be “won” for any political party. It’s time for the measure twice, cut once philosophy to be adopted for the good of the country.
