It seems President Trump wants terminally ill people to have one final try. Sure, dying is tough. Besides the pain and discomfort, there's fear of the imminent unknown, a mountain of regret and awkward moments as those around you often aren't comfortable with your dying and so can't talk about it and don't allow you to talk about it either. This is known as the horse on the dining room table effect, by the way.

How fine it must have been long ago when we had to forage for our food. Our whole existence was spiritual and nature decided who would live and who would die. And so dying must have been easier back then.

So I guess we can spend the last of our life's energy going after that elusive cure or we can try to recall what was the feel of that spiritual existence.
