A recent letter writer ("Trump profanity criticism getting old") totally misses the point of the president’s profane comments in an Oval Office immigration meeting with leaders of Congress. We are used to profane and coarse language from this president. The problem with his comment was its racial overtones in referring to countries that largely are home to people of color. In contrast, he welcomed people of Scandinavian origin (white) in an obvious racial and racist context.
The real question is why people from Norway, who have short work weeks, paid family leave and free education and health care, would want to move to what they perceive as a s---hole country in comparison, the USA.
