This afternoon, at JC Penney, I was in one department waiting for my wife who was shopping in another department, and I bumped into a shelf just enough to put a slight scratch on my arm. Other senior-citizen types will agree that it doesn't take much of a scratch on our old skin to start bleeding, which mine did slightly.
A very nice cashier gave me a tissue to hold over the scratch until my wife arrived with her ever-present Band-Aid supply. But while I waited, another nice lady tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I'd like a Band-Aid, and even applied it for me. That was so unexpected, but very much appreciated.
Her two pre-teen sons who were with her must know they have a very caring mom, and should be proud of her. Thank you, ma'am, for your kindness.
