Do corporations really need a 40 percent tax cut? The effective tax rate (the amount paid after deductions, credits, subsidies, etc.) for U.S. companies is in line with G-20 nations, less than some. Look it up. The markets are at record highs. Big business has never done better.

And who owns the big companies? Better-off Americans and foreigners. Oh, and 401 (k) participants that finance them every two weeks. Now, small business needs the help adjustments and simplification would provide. Do you middle classers still believe in trickle down? Substantial tax relief is what we need. Unless you believe they won't take their windfall and invest in robots. Meanwhile, the deficit will grow and grow to pay for this windfall. We've heard this before.
