The death of attorney Ben Greene is sad indeed. A young, educated man with a large and growing family who takes two very questionable drugs along, probably, with other prescription drugs is playing with fire.
We all need to have a healthy respect for prescription drugs. Many people have no idea what they have been prescribed, the pill's uses and side effects. They often refer to "my water pill" or "my sugar pill."
The two drugs prescribed for Greene, according to the article by James Burger ("Methamphetamine in Greene's system from prescribed med, family friend says," Oct. 19), are dangerous. Don't we all know by now that pills don't solve our ills? There's a pill that will give us every desire of our heart these days, but at what price?
