Veterans Day not only allows us a chance to celebrate those who have served in our armed forces but also time for them to enjoy a few additional perks of service. A number of restaurants and businesses are offering dining and shopping deals. This list includes some compiled by The Military Wallet — a personal finance website for military, veterans and their families — as well as some local offerings.

Unless noted, these deals are for dine-in meals Saturday for veterans and active-duty service members with military ID or proof of service. Always call ahead to confirm participation at specific locations.
