Delano 48, Tulare Western 14
DELANO -- Quarterback Josh Garcia rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers (7-2, 3-2 East Yosemite League) to a victory.
Andy Del Campo had a 9-yard first-quarter touchdown that spotted the Tigers a 7-0 lead and finished with 20 carries for 138 yards and
Victor Anaya caught a 38-yard TD pass from Garcia in the second quarter to help the Tigers to a 34-7 halftime lead.
Ross Roderate led Delano with 11 tackles.
Kern Valley 28, Rosamond 0
LAKE ISABELLA -- Warren Pappas rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and Mark Eisenhauer ran for 109 yards and a score as the Broncs (8-1, 4-0) clinched at least a share of the High Desert League title for the first time since 1995.
Jordan Lawson totaled 117 yards receiving and rushing, and added two scores for Kern Valley. Kyler Emery was 8-for-12 passing for 92 yards and a TD.
The Broncs can clinch the league title outright with a victory over Frazier Mountain on Thursday.
Independence 44, RFK 0
At Independence, the Falcons recorded their first shutout in school history in recording a South Central Sequoia League victory.
Lewis Bennett rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns for the Falcons (5-4, 4-1 SCSL) and Tyler Glasgow rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown. Glasgow also returned a punt for a TD.
Mira Monte 35, Mission Oak 15
At Highland High, Timmy Harris ran for 123 yards and a touchdown and Anthony Rios ran for 100 yards and two TDs as the Lions (4-4, 5-0 SCSL) won the South Central Sequoia League game. Rios completed eight passes for 93 yards and a TD to Brian Guyton. Guyton caught four passes 55 yards.
