Bakersfield Southwest Senior League Tryouts will be at 1 p.m. Sunday or Feb. 28 for 14 or 15-year-olds at BSWB Complex on the corner of Stockdale Highway and Jewetta on Kellenberger Field. Registrations will be accepted at tryouts unless the league is full. Must bring copy of a birth certificate if new to BSWB. Age determination is based on the age as of April 30, 2010. The 21st Kern County Junior High Basketball Tournament will be March 5-6 for small schools (under 300 students) and March 12-13 for large schools. All Junior High girls and boys teams in Kern County are invited. Bakersfield Dawgs Boys 8th grade (14U) basketball team will have tryouts Saturday from 10-noon at 1616 U Street, off Truxtun.

Bakersfield United Sports Association has joined with Gladiator Youth Basketball, Prodigy Basketball and B-Town Ballersto form elite travel teams for the Spring and Summer Travel Season.
