Stockdale running back Spenser Prince ran for 105 yards and three touchdowns, and scored on a 10-yard pass for his fourth touchdown as the Mustangs rolled over North 45-0 in a Southwest Yosemite League game.

Stockdale rushed for 327 yards despite being without running back Malik Henderson and losing Eddie Gutierrez to an ankle injury on its fourth play from scrimmage. Eight players combined for 48 carries, led by Prince with 18.

"Fortunately for us, we've got some depth at running back," Stockdale coach Mike Snow said. "We can move guys around here and there, and a couple of guys stepped up and played out of position, so that was a positive."

The Mustangs (7-1, 4-0 SWYL) broke the game open in the second quarter when senior Bladen Selnick intercepted North quarterback Juan Rodriquez with 1:33 left in the first half which led to a Stockdale touchdown.

The Mustangs drove 40 yards in six plays with senior quarterback Efren Venegas finding Prince wide open in the middle of the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-3 to take an 18-0 lead with 25 seconds left in the half.

The Mustangs scored four more unanswered touchdowns in the second as North (1-7, 0-5) failed to cross midfield in the game.

"... North High plays hard and we knew they would -- they always do, they always will," Snow said. "We came out, and played really hard. We made a lot of mental errors on both sides of the ball early on and struggled and made some mistakes. We got (the mistakes) fixed at halftime, and played great defense. When you play great defense, you can afford to make a few mistakes here and there."
