Liberty quarterback Dillon Meadows rushed for 88 yards and threw for 86, including one of three Patriots touchdowns in the first quarter, leading the Patriots to 31-7 victory over Foothill on Friday.

"We are starting to find some ways to move the ball offensively and put some points on the board and that's what we wanted to do tonight," Liberty coach Tony Mills said. "We made some good plays tonight and the team is heading in the right direction."

Cason Moyer capped off an 8-play drive early in the first quarter busting up the gut for a 1-yard touchdown giving the Patriots an early 7-0 lead.

Linebacker Mason Urmston recovered a Foothill fumble on the first play of the Trojans second possession and battled his way into the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown, putting the Patriots out in front by 14.

After a quick Foothill 3-and-out, Liberty quarterback Dillon Meadows hooked up with wide receiver Ross Hough for a 30-yard TD toss that gave the Patriots a commanding 21-0 lead.

Liberty's Cameron Carroll was spot on, kicking a 24-yard field goal, to end the half 24-0.

The Patriots (3-2) received the ball to the start the second half and drove 80 yards on 11 plays that ended on a 1-yard touchdown run from Moyer, his second of the game.

The Trojans (1-4) avoided the shut out when running back Fernando Leos capped off an 11-play drive, rumbling into the end zone for 6-yard touchdown.

"When they came off the ball, they out manned us out front tonight, we had a feeling that might happen," Foothill coach Mike Gregg said. "We played well but they are a very good football team."
