To top thatm he rolled a 300 game with an 827 series at this event. Team Medina and Lee Patterson (formerly of Bakersfield now living in Antioch) won the event with a 9,684 score good for $2,000. They beat out some fierce competitors including the teams of Wendy Macpherson and Dave Wodka, and Kevin Gannon and Ross Packard.

BOWLERS LOSE YET ANOTHER FELLOW LEAGUE BOWLER AND FRIEND

Regency bowlers still mourning the loss of Manager Marge Langdon were stunned to hear the news early last week that they had lost another fellow bowler. Robert Junyor, 36, was killed along with his girlfriend Brentina French in an automobile accident, Saturday night, March 6, returning home from a day at the March Meet. Junyor and his brother, Sam, have bowled in local leagues at both AMF Southwest and Regency for many years and were always together. Our sincere condolences go to Sam and their family at this very difficult time.

WEEKLY SUPER SCORES

* Bill Frankhouser, bowling in Marge's Royal Mixed Five league at Regency on Thursday night, March 4, nearly hit the 300 mark bowling a nice 298 game. Frankhouser was thrilled that all the time he has taken to practice bowling on the side has paid off. This is his first year back locally bowling in 15 years.

* Finally! Bakersfield got it's first 300 game bowled in a PBA Experience league. Richard Pritzkau bowled a 300 game on the Chameleon pattern March 1 in the Scratch Draft Trio PBA Experience league at Regency.

* And, another serious scratch bowler, Bryan Bumacod, fired not one but two perfectos over the past two weeks. The first one was in the Tuesday Men's league at Regency on March 2 and the other took place March 11, bowling in Marge's Royal Mixed Five league, also at Regency. This marks three perfectos this year for Bumacod.
