The win moves Liberty to 6-3 on the season and 5-0 in Southeast Yosemite League action. Highland drops to 2-8 and 0-5 in the SEYL.

Liberty quarterback Dillon Meadows needed only one half to rack up 143 yard of rushing on seven carries.

The senior had three scores on the ground and completed 2-of-4 passes 39 yards. D.J. Jones had 115 yards on the ground for Liberty and Carson Moyer had 61 yards on 11 carries.

The Liberty defensive line stopped Highland quarterback Jamie Salazar six times behind the line of scrimmage in the first half. The Scots forced two turnovers on the Liberty half of the field but were unable to convert the opportunities.

D.J. Jones opened the scoring for the Patriots in the third quarter with a 3-yard run, making the score 42-0. On the ensuing Highland possession, Liberty's Brady Burk intercepted Salazar and returned it 52 yards for the score.

Highland's lone score came with under three minutes remaining in the game as junior quarterback Mat Prasser scrambled for a 20-yard score. The drive was set up after the Scots' defense broke up a Liberty punt attempt.
