Special to The Californian

Behind every good player is a good coach. The Edison Middle School flag football coaches are head coach Mr. Garcia and Mr. Toby Tootle. The reason this team is undefeated so far is that the parents, the cheerleaders and the school are giving strong support and showing up at the games. Mr. Garcia also has fundraisers, such as car washes, and wants the whole team there.

When there's a pizza party, he wants the whole team there sharing the rewards. This team represents the Bear Mountain League. As parents, we sometimes help sell car wash tickets to help the team. The athletes are taught good sports ethics and hard workmanship. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, as you see the trophy, and medals, the team, and school, share. They are Edison Panthers.
