Clinic
Pair & Marotta Peak Performance, the official training facility of CSUB Athletics, is hosting a Speed School 1-day clinic from noon- 3 p.m. Dec. 5. Speed School will focus on teaching upper and lower body mechanics for linear acceleration, strength exercises and core strength exercises to improve speed. Cost is $30. Kern River Divers results from Glenn McCormick Memorial Invitational. Isabel Donaldson and Mikenzie Salvucci competed at the Junior Olympic level for 15 and under age group. Isabel Donaldson (17th, 1-meter with 189.80 points and 20th on 3 meter (188.15). Mikenzie Salvucci (22nd on 1- meter (172.45), 22nd on 3-meter (162.85); Novice level, 13U: Paige Oliver (7th, 1 meter, 115.15, 13th on 3 meter, 111.90). 9U -- Cassadi Bowser (1 meter, 15th, 85.70).

American Kids Sports Center results
The cheer program participated in the Power Cheer Victory Cup in Sacramento. This was the first competition of the season and the squads had an impressive showing. Pink took second in Tiny Level 1 division, Red won the Mini Level 1 division, White won Large Youth Level 2 division, Blue won Large Junior Level 4 division and was Level 4 grand champion, Silver won Large Senior Level 2 division and was the Level 2 grand champion, and Black won Semi-Limited Coed Level 5 division. Coaches are Jennifer Dunn, Jessica Rupe, Michael Chow, Phillip Collin, Krista Rhodes and Ashley Pazzi.
Girls level 6 gymnastics team placed sixth at the Southern California State Championships in Long Beach. At Age 9 division: Alexis Love won with a 9.35 vault and was 8th all-around (35.7000); Harleigh Bentley (5th on floor, tied for 8th all around (35.700). Age 12 division: Sarah Taylor Ciota (6th on vault, 8th all around, 35.325); Victoria Adee (13th on bars, all around of 33.625). Age 13: Emily Bowersox (2nd on bars, 6th all around, 34.975); Victoria Simpson (3rd on floor, 4th all around, 35.300). Age 14-older: Cree Seymens-Brackett (1st on bars, 4th all around, 34.875). The level 6 coaches are Lisa Difransesco and Jamey Gossett.
Girls Level 4 gymnastics results from Long Beach: Age 7: In the 7 year old age group: Taylor Bentley (6th on Bars, tied for 9th on floor, all-around of 36.125). Maggi Komin (all-around of 34.400). 8U Division: Datiah Towns (7th on beam and floor, tied for 4th on bars, 6th all-around, 37.000). In 8-and-older division: Alyssa Hamon (5th on bars, 6th on beam, 10th all-around, 36.325). Kaitlyn McDonnell (all-around 35.850), Ellie Murdoch (all-around 35.00). 9U division: Callie Hensley (7th on bars, 10th on floor, all-around of 35.925); 9-older division: Elly Honaker (1st on beam with a 9.525, tied for 5th on bars, 3rd all-around, 37.400). Girls Level 5 gymnastics placed 3rd at the SoCal Championships in Long Beach (photo at top). The team also boasted two state champions on vault and floor. Age 8: Alexa Schacher (7th on vault and beam, 8th all around, 36.475); Kennedy Sherrill (all around, 33.875); Age 9: Anessa Dabbs was the floor state champion (9.6) and also placed 8th on vault and floor, 8th all around (36.0); Tara Moser (5th on bars, 9.225, 6th all around, 35.8); Gillian Garcia (8th on floor, all around 34.550); Kaylin Lampson (all around, 34.65) and Makenna Davis (all around, 33.925). Age 10: Kyra Sales won the vault state title (9.4) and was second all around (37.125), second on beam (9.475) and 4th on floor (9.4); Makenzie Jung Garcia (5th on bars, 9.225, all around of 35.35); Lauren Burson had an all around of 34.750.
