Two former Bakersfield Jam players have secured spots on NBA rosters. Derrick Byars, a Jam player last season, made the Chicago Bulls roster, while Patrick O'Bryant, a Jam member two seasons ago, made the Toronto Raptors' roster.
"My season spent with the D-League's Bakersfield Jam was beneficial in many ways." Byars said. "It allowed me to play against quality competition in games as well as hone my skills on a daily basis (for) coach (Scott) Roth and his staff. My teammates challenging me to get better also served well for my transition to landing an NBA roster spot."
Sixty-three 63 players with D-League experience made NBA rosters this season.
For the first time, the D-League's 16 teams, authentic jerseys, and venues will be featured in NBA 2K10, the latest edition of the popular NBA 2K franchise, the No. 1 selling basketball video game and No. 1 rated NBA simulation. Published by 2K Sports, NBA 2K10 is now available nationwide and allows fans to experience the journey of an NBA D-League player who hopes to one day ascend to the NBA.
