Jam makes roster moves

The Bakersfield Jam acquired forward/center Jamie Vanderbeken, who was playing in Greece, the team announced Monday.
The former Iowa State player averaged 11.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 29 games his senior season. He was a member of the Canadian National Team in 2011.
Vanderbeken will make his Bakersfield debut Thursday against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
To make room on the roster, the Jam waived guard Jeremy Hazell.
The Jam also lost Solomon Alabi, who was recalled to its NBA affiliate Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
Alabi, who was assigned to Bakersfield on Jan. 4, and played in nine games, averaging 9.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks.
