Derrick Byars scored 43 points, including six of Bakersfield's 15 3-point goals, as the Jam beat the Springfield (Mass.) Armor for the second time in as many nights, 128-99, Saturday at the Jam Events Center.
"We are at our best when we play an up-tempo style," said Byars. "It felt good out there and my teammates did a great job of finding me in spots where I can score the ball; they deserve a lot of credit."
Bakersfield shot 52 percent from the field (48-of-91).
Six-foot-10 Jam center Drew Naymick registered a double double with a team-high 15 rebounds and 12 points.
Springfield's Tony Bobbitt scored the game's first points, draining a 3-pointer from the right wing, but the Jam capitalized on five first- quarter Armor turnovers and went on a 24-11 run, led by a trio of Byars' 3-pointers, en route to a 35-17 lead at the end of one.
Willie Warren's and-one layup and ensuing back-to-back 3-pointers started another Bakersfield run in the second, as the Jam tied a franchise record for most points in a first half, leading 74-45 at the break.
The Jam widened its lead to 37 points in the third quarter.
Craig Brackins registered a double double with a team-high 21 points and 16 rebounds, while Scottie Reynolds contributed 18 points and eight rebounds for Springfield.
