RENO — Patrick Ewing Jr. recorded his second double-double in as many nights against the Bakersfield Jam, but this time the Reno Bighorns held on for a 116-110 victory Wednesday at the Reno Events Center.

Ewing finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds, following up his 19-point, 14-rebound effort Tuesday in a 102-96 loss at Rabobank Arena.

Trey Johnson led the Jam (21-18) with 24 points and Justin Reed added 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Bakersfield trailed 32-23 after the first quarter and 87-76 entering the fourth quarter.

The Jam cut the Bighorns' lead to 102-100 with 2:09 remaining on a layup by Mateen Cleaves, but Reno's Rod Benson converted a three-point play on the next possession and the Bighorns never let the Jam get closer.

David Noel led Reno with 23 points. Richie Frahm scored 20 and Russell Robinson added 18.

Terrance Thomas finished with 16 points for Bakersfield, including three 3-pointers. Alpha Bangura added 12 points before fouling out.

The Jam will face the Utah Flash at 6 p.m. Friday in Orem, Utah. The Jam will return to Rabobank Arena on March 19 to host Dakota at 6 p.m.
