Ahearn scores 25, but Jam falls to Wizards

Romel Beck, a 6-foot-8 forward out of UNLV, scored 23 points and also had five assists and two steals to lead the Dakota Wizards past the Bakersfield Jam 105-101 Tuesday at the Bismarck Civic Center.
Blake Ahearn led the Jam with 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting, including 4-of-9 from 3-point range. Brian Butch, a 6-foot-11 center out of the University of Wisconsin, led Bakersfield (8-22) with 16 rebounds.
Dakota (16-13) made 8 of its 14 tries from 3-point range. Beck made all eight of his free throws.
