Balanced attack by Jam buries Arsenal

ANAHEIM -- Trey Johnson scored 23 points, and David Berghoefer had a season-high 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead a balanced Bakersfield Jam attack Tuesday in a 111-94 D-League victory over the Anaheim Arsenal.
Justin Reed added 20 points and Derrick Byars added 19 for Bakersfield (22-19), which trailed 52-51 at halftime.
Bakersfield blew the game open by outscoring the hosts 38-22 in the third period. The Jam shot 56.8 percent from the field (46-of-81) and outrebounded Anaheim 41-27.
The Jam also got 13 points from Nick Lewis and 10 from Mateen Cleaves. Cleaves had seven rebounds and six assists.
Cameron Bennerman led Anaheim with 18 points and Cedric Bozeman scored 17.
The Jam returns home for a 6 p.m. game Thursday vs. the Dakota Wizards.
