The second annual CSUB men's basketball tip-off dinner grossed more than $40,000 to help provide scholarships for former players to complete their degrees.
Approximately 250 people attended the dinner, which was held at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace.
"This was another demonstration of how the Bakersfield community invests in its people," coach Keith Brown said.
"One of the best things about coaching in Bakersfield is that our community sees the young men that come through our program as more than just basketball players, and once again their support will help ensure the next senior class will all have the opportunity to graduate just as their predecessors have."
On Thursday, the CSUB women will hold their first tip-off dinner to provide post-eligibility scholarships.
