ANCHORAGE -- Former National Hockey League player Eric Boguniecki scored a pair of goals Friday night as Alaska Aces beat Condors 3-2.
Boguniecki also had a goal in Wednesday night's 4-1 win over the Condors.
It was the fourth straight loss for the once high-flying Condors, who are struggling with several former players now toiling in the American Hockey League.
The Aces never trailed as Boguniecki put the Aces up 1-0 just 1:33 into the game when he scored on Alaska's second shot after the Condors failed to clear the zone. The Aces took a 2-0 on a power-play goal by Nick Mazzolin at 14:54.
Bakersfield cut the lead in half when defenseman Raymond Eichenlaub scored his first professional point off an Andrew Ianiero shot 8:29 into the second. But Boguniecki put the Aces back up by two when the Condors once again failed to get the puck out of the zone, putting Boguniecki on an unobstructed path to the net at 15:04.
Mathieu Aubin made it a 3-2 game when he redirected a shot by Chris Allen 2:30 into the third.
Frank Doyle stopped 25 shots for the Aces while Timo Pielmeier stopped 27 shots for the Condors, who will try to avoid a sweep when the teams wind up a three-game series tonight.
