Anaheim assigns 7 players prior to start of camp

The Bakersfield Condors will have at least seven players, including two goaltenders, assigned to them by the Anaheim Ducks when they open training camp Friday.
All seven of those players were assigned to Bakersfield from American Hockey League training camps Monday.
Coming from the San Antonio training camp are goaltenders J.P Lavasseur and Timo Pielmeir and forwards Maxime Macenaeur, MacGregor Sharp and Shawn Weller. Coming from Manitoba's camp are defensemen John de Gray and Eric Regan.
Lavasseur, 22, was a seventh round draft choice of the Ducks in 2007and spent all of last season with Iowa in the AHL where he was 13-18-4 with a 3.11 goal-against average and .890 save percentage. He is entering his third pro season.
Pielmeir, 20, was a third-round draft choice of San Jose in 2007 and was acquired by the Ducks in a trade. He was 30-9-2 with Shawinigan in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last season with a 2.64 GAA (fifth-best in the league) and .913 save percentage (also fifth best).
Weller, 23, was a third-round draft choice of Ottawa in 2004 and was acquired in a trade by the Ducks for Jason Bailey, who played in Bakersfield last season. The 6-2, 205-pound left wing has 25 points and 97 penalty minutes in 129 games in the AHL over the past two years.
Sharp, 24, just finished four years of play at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The 6-1, 180-pounder led Duluth as a senior with 26 goals and 24 assists, was second in the nation in goals, fourth in scoring and fourth in game-winning goals.
Macenauer, 20, was a third-round draft choice of the Ducks in 2007. The 6-3, 203-pound center split time last season between Rouyn-Noranda and Shawinigan in the QMJHL last season, netting 40 points in 54 games.
Also expected to join Bakersfield is Bobby Bolt, a third-year pro, who was assigned to the Condors by Anaheim last season. Bolt was in Anaheim's rookie camp.
